How do I take a screenshot?

Updated December 31, 9999

Taking a screenshot is a snap

Say you need to show someone a screenshot of your favorite food blog. It’s easy. Just take a snapshot of your device’s screen, save it as a photo and send to a friend. Screenshots are instantly saved in the Screenshots folder in the Gallery, and also the clipboard.

Note: Screens and available settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Capture using device keys

You can capture a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the Home key and the Power/Lock key for 1–2 seconds.

View a screenshot

To view a screenshot immediately after you capture it:

  1. Swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom to open the Notification Panel.
  2. Touch Screenshot captured to open the screenshot in the Gallery application.
  3. You can also quickly SHARE, EDIT or DELETE the screenshot from the Notification Panel.

Note: You may have to swipe down on the notification to see these options.

To view your screenshots at any time:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.
  2. Touch Gallery.
  3. Touch the Screenshots album.
  4. Touch the desired screenshot.
